Reinforcement
The IDAT program automatically generates the basic reinforcements for all precast units (walls, ceilings, stairs, supports, and beams etc.) using predefined reinforcement types. The types of reinforcement are preconfigured in a configuration database with their As-value. In this way, the required reinforcements can be determined directly by the interlinked structural analysis applications, indirectly resulting in the recalculation of the relevant reinforcements in the precast unit.
The software is fully 3D-capable. This naturally extends to reinforcements, meaning all reinforcement positions in a precast unit are generated and shown in their correct position. This is particularly important in connection with production automation such as robots for the placement of reinforcements, steel bending, and cutting machines as well as reinforcing mesh welding systems. The three-dimensional position of the reinforcements is required for correct control of these machines.
In addition to the automatic generation of reinforcements, these can also be added to precast units manually thanks to the user-friendly functions available for this purpose. Freely defined bending dies or binders can also be drawn directly as a polyline in the precast concrete unit and positioned directly based on the specified diameter and distance.
A large number of preconfigured functions are also available to the user for the automatic generation and positioning of standard reinforcements such as lateral edge ties and column and lintel reinforcements, which reduce the time and effort involved in generating these to a minimum.
All reinforcements act in relation to the structural component geometry. The reinforcement is automatically adjusted to the geometry of the structural component at all times. This applies to simple reinforcements such as steel bars or wire mesh as well as to binders in conically tapered beams. Here even the heights of the binders are automatically adjusted to the geometry, also when changes are made to the geometry.
A further aspect of reinforcements also covered by the software (provided this is important to a concrete precasting plant) is on-site reinforcements. These can also be generated using preconfigured functions.
